Jørgen Haugen Sørensen
Born on 3.10.1934 in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Haugen Sorensen is a self-taught sculptor who is now regarded as one of Denmark’s best known artists. Sorensen was awarded two of the most prestigious awards in his country, The Eckersberg Medal in 1969 and The Thorvaldsen’s Medal in 1979.
Since 1954 he has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Holland, Belgium, Ghana, Germany, France, Italy, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, ex Yugoslavia, Switzerland, Portugal, England and USA.
