CORPUS/ ROYAL DANISH BALLET

Corpus is a dance company in the Royal Danish Ballet. Corpus stays in A-salen, where we work, explore and present our plays.

Corpus works with creative processes, esthetics, and immediate physical experiences. We want to expand the perception of what the Royal Danish Ballet is, and which effect and relevance dance have in our society and at the national stage.

Corpus believes that physical encounter is essential to portray the complex experience of being human. This we investigate and communicate in different performances and formats. Corpus meets its audience on equal terms.

We know that the pure physical encounter can be something very special. Therefore, we will help to expand the understanding and necessity of explorative dance. We are unpretentious but very serious.

Corpus insists on the role of the institution as a starting point for artistic breakthroughs.

Corpus believes that many different actors are needed to create the future impact of the art. Cooperation and exchanges of opinions are an essential part of our work.

Corpus invites you to experience, celebrate, reflect and discuss and we meet you as you are.
